Public speaking anxiety is one of biggest hurdles to being able to give a presentation for many people. It is possible to overcome this public speaking stage fright and become a confident presenter.
Here are some tips to lessen the impact;-
1. Carefully prepare your presentation and practice thoroughly. Both these activities build self confidence in your ability to give a presentation.
2. Get to know your audience. Greet and meet your audience. It is easier to present to people you know.
3. Use relaxation techniques to relieve tension - stretching and taking deep breaths
4. Keep your mind occupied by going over your notes, concentrating on other speakers, going over a shopping list etc.
5. Smile. A smile makes you feel better, and it is contagious.
